A keen walker both at home and abroad, I’m inspired by colours and beauty that occur naturally. The friendly robin with its beautiful song is a frequent visitor to my garden and one of my favourite birds. Recently whilst working in a School I learnt that many of the children had never visited the woods to experience the many delightful sights and sounds of God’s creations. In a world governed by technology I think it is vital to educate our children about the importance of the environment and wildlife for the survival of our world.

1980-82 Exhibited on ‘Armstrong Bridge’ a local art and craft fair and various retail outlets.

1983 My portrait of Prince Charles, was exhibited in a departmental store and publicised in the local newspapers.

1993 Won ‘Cake decorator of the Show’ at the N.E.C. for a cake depicting a lion’s head.

2000 Graduated from Sunderland University (B.A. Honours, Art & Design) .Began working from a studio within a Public House, ‘The Millstone’ supported by the licensee.

2001-03 Funded by Wardley Primary School to paint large environmental / wildlife murals and interact with the pupils. Work is on permanent exhibition.
