The RCS Panels team are delighted to announce the public release of our long awaited (Freeware) B-25J RAF MkII for FSX.

The package we are releasing is the result of thousands of hours of work from Steve Wayne and myself (Roy Chaffin). I started off thinking we could easily convert the FS9 package to FSX format and ended up redesigning and rebuilding just about everything from the ground up. However, what we have ended up with is much better than even I dared hope for. Steve has done a brilliant job on the new external model and incorporated some wonderful new features. I too have had many sleepless nights, reprogramming every gauge to the new format and modifying the whole package.

This version now includes many new features like a virtual cockpit, and other new things. So you really do have to read the documentation. You have been warned, because disaster awaits if you don't.

The response to the release of our Freeware B-25J RAF MkII package for FSX has been truly amazing. We have been swamped with very complimentary emails, which are always much appreciated :-)) The whole team thank you for your very kind comments, because this is the only return us Freeware developers get for our long hours and very hard work.

Since release, we have continued to work on the package and have added some new features and modified the flight dynamics to further enhance the accuracy.

Service Pack 1 gives you the new flight dynamics and you will now have "exhaust flames" from the engines and completely new "camera definitions" thanks to Robert Familton.

I am delighted to announce the release of the new RCS Airbus A320 and A380/388 packages for FS2004.

Both packages contain a FREEWARE and SHAREWARE (RealCRT) version. Each package is in the form of a self installing EXE file that has everything included, such as aircraft, panel etc. The A380 also has a whole range of liveries.

The new FMC is very accurate and tremendous fun, and there are many more updates and new features.

I want to sincerely thank Camil Valiquette for his wonderful A380 aircraft and his agreement for it to be included in the A380 package.

As you no doubt know the A380 does not fly for real until 2005, and this package is our best estimate of what the aircraft will be like, based on the information we have.

I also want to sincerely thank Albaro Villegas, Ric Barker, Pedro Oliveira, and Ben Jones of iFDG for their superb British Airways A320 which is included in the A320 package.

Lastly I want to thank my good friend Tony D'Ambrosio for his continued support, cooperation and assistance.

(These packages are referred to as "Beta" versions, this is not because they are untested or unfinished. It is purely because they are updates of the old FS98 packages and not the "all singing and dancing" packages that you have come to expect from our factory. Nevertheless for that, they are still quality products and a pleasure to fly. So enjoy !)

The download is considerable, at 59 mbs. It really goes without saying that a Broadband internet connection is really necessary, especially as our server does not have the "Resume" feature. However all of the important websites are also carrying the file.

Do to the high demand, we have now added this CFS2 version of the RCS B-25J RAF package to the CD we offer to those that need it. The CD package is on a "No Frills" CD posted worldwide at a nominal cost for those without Broadband. The CD contains the CFS2, FS2002, and FS2004 versions of the package along with the FS2004 Flight Dynamics Upgrade.

We have broken down the package into smaller "Bite Sized" pieces to help people with 56k modems to download the package if they wish. Using a program called "GSplit" I have divided it into thirteen pieces of 5 mbs (two files are smaller).

You DO NOT have to have "GSplit" on your system. All you do is download all 13 parts into a folder, and then double click on the "b25c2.exe" file and the full "rcsb25c2.exe" file will be recreated ready for installation. Easy :-)
